On Apr 24, 2023 I received an email from A Beautiful Life Magazine:
“I wanted to personally reach out as we have a new Collaborative Anthology Book coming out and I thought our Co Author Opportunity might be of interest.  Books are a fabulous way to connect with an audience – it gives readers the chance to get to know the Expert and to better understand how the Expert’s services and products can help them live their best life – it’s marketing in its most positive and engaging form. In Your Chapter, you can share: Your journey story, Your business services & products, What people can expect when working with you, Tips and advice”

 

On Apr 27, 2023 I reached out to Hollis McGuire, my SBA Advisor for over 10 years to ask if she felt this was a good opportunity for me to pursue. Her response:
“This is interesting.  If you have the disposable income it could be worth pursuit.  I would check out the five already signed up to participate and if you resonate with these five I would highly consider it.  You will know once you look at the other co-authors.  The aggregator creates a place to bring an effort together.  The aggregator may or may not align but based on what has been published so far (quite a few anthologies) it may also be in alignment.”
I didn’t really have the disposable income, however, it felt like an amazing opportunity to write and to collaborate in this way with other authors sharing their own stories.

 

On Apr 28, 2023 my response to Hollis was:
“I did it!  Something new and different. This years guidance: step into every opportunity…… you can always say no! This keeps me writing!”

 

 

On Apr 29, 2023 I confirmed my place as a co-author for Tap Into Your Natural Healing Power and received an email from Ronnie:
“Welcome to Tap Into Your Natural Healing Power – so excited you’ve joined us! Please send your Chapter once completed – due date June 10th. – *Please put the name of the book in the subject line when you submit your chapter – – up to 4500 words (*can be longer if you are so inspired) – – Bio (50 words + 1 link) – Attach as Word Doc or Google Doc – Please include a chapter title with your submission. You are free to choose what you want to write in your chapter, here are some ideas readers love
Your journey story – how did you become who you are today, how did you start your business?
A personal story that relates to the title (how energy healing helped your own life)
Why do you do what you do? (helping other women, a calling, etc.)
What is your industry about, and how can it help people?
Examples or case studies showing how you have helped your clients overcome their issues
Tips and advice – what takeaways can you give that relate to the title of the book and your chapter (can be point form or not)”

Helping Women on Their Journey to …a Beautiful Life

My creative juices were flowing and I was reaching out to my Guides, Echoe and others, to inspire this chapter, showing how animals help us to find our own healing abilities, along with many other aspects of our lives that they see within us so very clearly. The chapter began to emerge and flow…….edits and rewrites……emerge and flow…..when I felt like it was complete, and I had included the criteria laid out by Ronnie, I sent the chapter to Gina for reading, editing and thoughts. Once it was finished, I sent the chapter to Hollis as she was such a pivotal part in making the decision to join this collaborative.

On May 25, 2023 I received this response from Hollis: “It is good that I have 15 minutes until my next meeting because the chapter made me cry happy tears.” I thanked Hollis for always being an amazing Guide as I grow and expand personally and within my business. Her response was the icing on the cake of an amazing experience to be a co-author, to see the finished chapter alongside other authors and to witness a book being created so professionally, vibrantly and beautifully.
