July 2011 – Yesterday, Michele came to work with my horses using Reiki and/or essential oils. It was an awesome experience! I invited Michele to work with my 2yo Spanish Mustang, Ziggy, because he has an oral fixation which gets in the way of my doing groundwork with him. She found that he was traumatized by the “round up” that brought him off the range in North Dakota after his mother died in a blizzard, and worked to clear that trauma. Beyond that, we learned that much of Ziggy’s mouthiness with me had to do with my issues of not being grounded, an amazing interconnection.
I had invited Michele to work on my fifteen year old rescue from the killpen, Rolly, to help him release some of his demons. I could actually see him release as she did Reiki on him. Since Michele was here, I can feel a shift in both of my horses. Rolly seems to have settled in a little more, seeming to be a bit more secure and happy with his person (me) and his environment. Ziggy and I need to learn a new dance as I present myself as more grounded and he stops being so mouthy. To say I am impressed with Michele is an understatement. I feel like I have discovered a guide for the next leg of this journey with my two boys. Thank you So much!!
