This is a testimonial from Lady’s caregiver after we had consulted several times to find balance in Lady’s fears and behaviour issues that created stress whenever exploring the outside world.
Lady is a 3 1/2 year old pitbull who was born in a shelter in Arkansas and made the 1,500 mile journey to Maine in a pet transport trailer at 3 1/2 months. By the time she reached here, she had already experienced many traumas and they began to show once she arrived. Loud noises, car sickness, nervous reactions to all kinds of bird sounds, trucks, were just some of her symptoms. She had never been in a home before, just the shelter.
At her one year visit, her vet prescribed 20 mg of Prozac twice daily to help calm her down. I dropped it to once a day after about six months, worried how the meds would affect her body.
Intuitively, I realized this was not helping my girl, so Michele did a remote reading on Lady and developed an alternative treatment plan. At the same time during Lady’s last checkup, her vet instructed me on how to eliminate the prescribed meds. Coming off the medication has taken two months, the first month reducing her dosage to 10 mg and the second month a Prozac on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I am substituting the medication with a homeopathic remedy, many essential oils, and flower essences. Lady is making the transition brilliantly!
Michele saw her yesterday (9/10/22) and can see the change in Lady-that she isn’t “dumbed down “ by the prescription meds anymore and is coming into her own self. Lady did great meeting Michele’s puppy, played out in the backfield with him, smothered Michele with kisses because she was so happy to see her and behaved amazingly well for the whole visit!
Lady and I are very grateful to Michele for helping us through this transition. I’m looking forward to a future of Lady being fully present and drug-free!
