Petros is Greek for Solid, Rock!
This truck was manifested in 2016. I set clear criteria and this amazing vehicle landed almost at my feet. I was looking for a truck with low mileage, one that showed up easily, was in my budget, and that I wouldn’t need to spend hours test driving lots of trucks. And in a very short period of time…….voila!! All criteria met – I was drawn to this 2004 Ford F150 XLT with just 42,000 miles on it. Lightly used, in my budget and it was the only truck I test drove. It is always a truly magical moment when life opens the doors and what you desire presents itself! And so I drove my first truck home, and I fell head over heals in LOVE!
6 years later and an odometer at 178,500 we have certainly had our fun and extensive travels. I traveled around the country in 2018/2019, towing my first camper and brought 2 horses (Echoe and Sunshine) and my dog Dasher too. We traveled sight unseen to each new destination and even when we had challenges, Petros always took care of us and we landed on our feet. Our journey took us 10,000 miles. This truck has a bold and loving heart and our bond grew.
Petros was a gem when in 2020/1 I stepped into Camper living again with a different one. I embarked on an East Coast adventure for 3 months. This time with Dasher and my mini horse Sunshine.
Petros has protected me in winter storms and safely carried Dasher and I to our many client appointments.
The perfect farm truck, Petros has hauled hay and the 8ft bed had helped out many friends relocate their belongings.
So many fun times and always held safe regardless of the road conditions or traffic.
This year I purchased a new camper, its perfect. And 4 days later my newest addition, Ivan presented himself in another magical series of synchronicities as the truck to haul my new camper.
This camper (named Optimus Prime) is heavier than Petros’ towing capacity. Today I was in gratitude as I remember all the miles we have traveled. I washed Petros and cleaned the inside. We are in ceremony today as I give thanks for the past 6 years.
Today Petros is being prepared ready for his new home to show up just as easily as he did for me.
Life is about knowing opportunities are limitless and we can create magic each and every day. If we slow down to see what is in front of us and the signs that guide us, a path opens and we just need to be willing to take those steps forward.
(Update: Petros went to his new home on 9/8/21. The couple who bought this truck, already love and adore it…….here is a recent message: “I had a few things done to my truck. Lifted the front just a little, tune up, oil and filter, new tires, put the rails on, ordered new wheel caps, new struts in front…..Wow looking great as always! and I had better stop spending money or my wife won’t be happy! Hope you are well and still trucking!” )
